Cookies Policy
Last updated: 24 August 2026
Introduction
This Cookies Policy explains how aesonpower.com.au, operated by Aeson Power PTY LTD ("we", "us", "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies, and the choices you have about them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies help a site function properly and let us understand how it's being used. Some cookies last only for your current visit ("session cookies") and are deleted when you close your browser; others persist between visits ("persistent cookies") until they expire or you clear them.
2. What this site sets, and why
We use a small, deliberately minimal set of technologies: analytics tags loaded through Google Tag Manager, so we can understand traffic and improve the site; Google reCAPTCHA, which protects our enquiry forms from automated abuse; and our own first-party record of how you reached the site, described in section 3. We do not run advertising or remarketing tags.
| Cookie / storage | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics (via Tag Manager) | Distinguishes visitors, so we can see aggregate traffic and usage patterns — not to identify you individually. | Up to 2 years |
_GRECAPTCHA | Google reCAPTCHA | Security. Lets Google score whether a form submission is likely to be automated, so genuine enquiries reach us and spam does not. It is not used for advertising or personalisation. | Up to 6 months |
nc_* (browser storage, not cookies) | This website (first party) | Records how you arrived — the page you landed on, the referring site or campaign, and the pages you viewed — so that when you send an enquiry we can see which part of our marketing helped you find us. Stored in your browser's own local and session storage, never shared with a third party, and readable only by this site. | Session, and up to 90 days for the arrival record |
Because these cookies collect information about your device and general browsing activity, Google may process an IP address and page-view information as part of providing this service — see Google's own privacy policy for how it handles that. We do not combine this with the personal information you give us in an enquiry form, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. How we record the way you found us
When you submit an enquiry, we attach a short summary of how you reached the site: the page you first landed on, the site or advertising campaign that referred you, the pages you looked at beforehand, and roughly how long you spent. We use this to understand which of our marketing efforts are working and, where the enquiry is for one of our dealers, to credit the right referral.
This is first-party information — it is collected by this website, kept with your enquiry, and is not sold, shared with advertising networks, or used to track you across other websites. It records pages on this site only. If you would rather it were not kept, tell us in your enquiry and we will remove it, or contact us using the details in our Privacy Policy.
4. Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking analytics cookies won't stop the site working — the forms, product pages and dealer directory all function without them; it only means we lose visibility into how that particular visit used the site. Blocking reCAPTCHA may stop our forms from verifying a submission, but we have deliberately built them so that a failed or unavailable check never prevents a genuine enquiry from reaching us. See your browser's own help pages for how: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari all publish current instructions, since the exact steps change between versions.
5. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if what we set changes. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
