Privacy Policy

Introduction
aesonpower.com.au is operated by Aeson Power PTY LTD ("Aeson Power", "we", "us", "our"), a distributor of sodium-ion and lithium-ion battery products in Australia. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, and a small amount of information automatically as you browse.
Information you provide: when you submit an enquiry form, contact a dealer through this site, or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect what you enter — typically your name, email address, phone number, and message, and which product or dealer your enquiry relates to.
Information collected automatically: like most websites, we collect basic technical information about your visit — pages viewed, general location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, and which links or dealer listings you interact with. This is described further in our Cookies Policy.
How you found us: when you send an enquiry, we attach a short record of how you reached this website — the page you landed on, the referring site or advertising campaign, the pages you viewed beforehand, and roughly how long you spent. We use it to understand which of our marketing is working, and to credit the correct dealer where an enquiry leads to a referral. It covers pages on this site only; it is not used to track you across other websites and is never sold or shared with advertising networks. Section 3 of our Cookies Policy explains it in full, including how to ask us not to keep it.
Spam protection: our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to tell genuine enquiries from automated ones. Google receives technical signals about the submission for that purpose and its own privacy policy applies to that processing. We have built our forms so that a failed or unavailable check never stops a genuine enquiry from reaching us.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to enquiries you submit through this site;
- connect your enquiry to the relevant Aeson Power dealer, where you've enquired about a specific product or dealer (see "Sharing with our dealer network" below);
- send our monthly newsletter, if you've subscribed — every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link;
- understand how visitors use this site, so we can improve it (aggregated, non-identifying statistics only); and
- understand which of our marketing channels bring people to us, and credit the right dealer for a referral; and
- keep the site secure and prevent misuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or remarketing.
3. Sharing with our dealer network
Aeson Power sells through an independent network of Australian dealers. When you submit an enquiry that names a specific dealer, or click through to contact one from our Where to Buy directory, we pass your enquiry details to that dealer so they can respond to you directly. We do not share your information with any other third party for their own marketing purposes.
4. Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Tag Manager to manage a small set of analytics tags. Full detail on what is and isn't set, and why, is in our Cookies Policy — in short, we use aggregated visit statistics to understand site usage; we do not run advertising or remarketing cookies.
5. Where your information is stored
Enquiry, dealer-referral and newsletter data is stored on servers located in Australia. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (including encrypted connections) to protect it, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
6. How long we keep your information
We retain enquiry records for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and maintain a business record, and newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time — see "Your rights" below.
7. Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by using our contact form. We'll respond within a reasonable time. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
